The 4th week of November

20Nov08 Thrusday at home

Stayed home as I wanted to keep him away from the daycare centre due to his cough. This is what he had for lunch. Quite an appetite there!
- Steamed cod fish (1/4 of a fish fillet)
- Green peas and white rice porridge
- 1/4 of wholemeal bread




















For dinner, my mum said that I overloaded the flavors. I tend to agree. He ate not much, probably a quarter of it. Pasta, beef, brocolli, split peas - scary huh?!

The weekend getaway

The menu plan for the weekend getaway (Thanks to Joanne for providing some ideas!) to avoid jar food :
- Cook 2 meals of brown rice porridge with butternut squash for tomorrow's lunch and dinner
- Packed 8tablespoons of rolled oats (good for 3meals : Saturday x 2 ; Sunday x 1)
- Steam cubed half a carrot and probably 3tbspoons of green peas - to add these as dishes for tomorrow and Saturday's meals. Planning to fridge them when I get to the hotel
- Bring one whole avocado (I had been putting it at the kitchen top for the past 3days - it's ripen!)
- Junkie : one small container full of Gerber stars to keep him happy
- As for breakie, he'll eat whatever there is in the buffet line (I guess I'll feed him more fruits!)

Last but not least, I admit I cannot survive without the Tiger Thermal Jar. Can't say enough of good things about it!
This was the outcome of my initial plan! I didn't deviate much from the original plan haaha!

Beef, Cod fish and Chicken

I had tried steamed minced beef. Seems too tough for this guy. But he loves the gravy in the porridge. Would try again another time! I stopped meaty stuff about a week before deciding giving him cod fish and chicken

18Nov08 Shawn loves cod fish with his porridge. To me it's oily and tastes very strong without any add ons. But he simply just loves it. I would also take the essence of the cod fish and dish it into the porridge. Tested for 5 straight days - perfectly okay!

24Nov08 Shawn too loves chicken. So far I had tried him on chicken breast (typically steamed). He eats about 1" x 1" block of it everytime, plus the essence from the steaming added into his porridge. Am glad he loves it too! Tested for about a week and he's okay with it!

Here we go again











Not so good gums for the day
Dinner was Brown rice + Kidney beans + Bok Choi













Just brown rice + mung beans (I think I emptied the fridge - only used whatever that's left inside)

21Oct The boss said "Food is not enough!"






2tablespoons of oats, egg yolk + wolfberries and greenies + 1whole kiwi + bread for dinner
